It's Fall! ORO's Fall Venue Favorites

As the air becomes crisp and the leaves begin to change, many of us across the country can finally say … it’s FALL!

Fall brings with it, its own beauty and backdrop for any occasion. Many couples choose this idealistic time to get married not only because the temperature is so pleasing, but because nature decorates itself with its abundance of color; add a rug, a few lounge vignettes with blankets and some cocktail tables and you’ve got the coziest and most popular reception hangout outdoors! The array of flowers that are in season are truly some of the best as well, for those looking to dress up any table or bouquet. From Dahlias and Zinnias to deep colored Roses, Chrysanthemums and Leucadendron, the options seem endless!

In the spirit of fall, we’ve gathered just a few of the most colorful and beautiful backdrops for any social gathering or event:

Ozark Mountains, Missouri: Big Cedar Lodge

This remote haven was built as a destination for families and friends to connect to the great outdoors; what better time than in the fall! This world-class resort, with its five golf courses, full-service marinas, spa, and countless outdoor adventures sets the perfect scene for any fall nuptials or event.

Asheville, North Carolina:

With its history and charm, not to mention the curated botanical gardens and onsite winery, The Biltmore House is a picturesque dream for any wedding or gathering. With 10 indoor and outdoor options to choose from, any planner can find the most ideal location for their clients within this property. Nearby, are also some of the most gorgeous views to be seen at Grandfather Mountain or Craggy Gardens.

Upstate New York: Cayuga Lake (Aurora, NY) & Adirondacks (Lake Placid, NY)

What seems like a tiny, storybook town with historic estates turned comfortable inns, and situated on the shores of Cayuga Lake, is the beauty that is the Village of Aurora and The Inns at Aurora. In the Finger Lakes area, known as the heart of New York’s premier wine region, sits this exceptional place with so much to offer, and the amber and burgundy hues in the fall are only the beginning.

Four and a half hours northeast, you’ll find the Adirondacks and the beautiful Whiteface Lodge, in Lake Placid. With their wide selection of indoor and outdoor spaces, whether it’d be summer, winter and most impressively in the fall, this location brings a smile to any guest or attendee’s face.
